Dear Prospective Families, We invite you to join us online on Wednesday, October 30, 2025 at 7PM EST to learn a...
Hand In Hand began in 1974 when our founder and executive director MaryLee (Fahrenbrink) Lane, was residing in the Philippines and recognized the plight of children living in orphanages. She founded Hand in Hand and eventually expanded adoption services to serve the needs of children in 25 countries around the world!
Nearly every staff member at Hand in Hand is an adoptive parent. Two have already been recognized with Congressional Angel in Adoption awards.
We are dedicated to providing qualified, loving parents to children in our programs, especially those with special needs, older children, and sibling groups. All kinds of families are encouraged to apply to our programs.
We provide extensive pre-adoption education, schedule homeland tours for teens and adults, and also offer summer hosting programs when possible.
In addition, we have a group of social workers who specialize in providing services to U.S. citizens residing abroad, such as military or diplomatic families, those with work assignments, and missionaries.
Our work at Hand in Hand is based upon the standard of best practice. You can expect to be treated with respect and every kind consideration as you pursue the dream of becoming an adoptive parent through Hand in Hand. We care deeply about the children we serve and our adoptive families. When you form your family though an adoption at Hand in Hand, you will become part of our large Hand in Hand family and have the continued support of a wonderful adoption community.
We invite you to contact us to explore the opportunity to adopt your child through Hand in Hand! We host online info sessions monthly. Email Steve Valdez: steve@hihiadopt.org to register and receive your invitation!
We offer online groups to advocate for children:
