Cathy Crenshaw Doheny is a freelance writer, specializing in Creative Non-Fiction. The winner of the Kaixin Writing Competition and the Community Grace Note Award, she was also the runner-up in the MomCafe Summer Writing Contest. Cathy has numerous pieces published online and in print, and is currently working on a book of memoirs, Survival Mode. She also serves as Senior Staff Writer and Editor for Carolina Chronicles, a local television show featuring the life stories of Carolinians. Cathy and her husband, Kevin, have one daughter, Jade Chun'an, adopted through China's Waiting Child Program.
